Reena is Vaccinate Your Family’s Advocacy and Education intern responsible for developing educational resources and toolkits for advocates. She uses her Certified Health Education Specialists background to help advocate and assess vaccination needs across the country.
Reena is currently in the final year of her Master’s program at Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH). She is studying Community Assessment, Program Design, Implementation and Evaluation (CAPDIE) along with Social Justice & Human Rights. She completed her undergraduate degree at Truman State University in Health Science, focusing on women’s health and health disparities. Prior to VYF, Reena completed an internship as a Field Researcher where she developed skills in uncovering where implicit bias and structural racism may be playing a role in underlying norms, policies, and practices that result in inequitable care and services.
After her program with BUSPH and Vaccinate Your Family ends Reena hopes to focus on using her skills to make the world a better place.
