Vaccines for Children (VFC)

Ensuring Every Child Can Receive a Vaccine

VFC Provides Free Vaccines to Children

The VFC program is a federally funded program that provides no-cost vaccines to eligible children age 18 and under in the United States. Eligibility is limited to children who are Medicaid-eligible, uninsured, underinsured, or American Indian/Alaska Native, but not all children qualify. It covers all the vaccines recommended by the AAP and AAFP for babies, young children, and adolescents. These routine vaccines protect children from at least 18 dangerous diseases.
