Maia Archer

Health Promotion Intern


Maia Archer is Vaccinate Your Family’s Health Promotion Intern. She is committed to transforming the health of individuals through health education and public health communication, specifically in marginalized communities.

Previously, Maia worked as a Community Health Worker for the Urban Healthcare Initiative Program (UHIP) in New Jersey, serving the greater Essex County communities. In this position, Maia helped to reduce the impact of COVID-19 in the cities through the creation of educational materials, presentations, and conversations with community members and leaders. She also served as a Public Health Intern for the Child Health Equity Center at UMass Memorial Health. In this role, Maia assisted in tthe implementation and facilitation of a free transportation program for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Pulmonary patients and their family members.

Maia received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Boston University, with a Double Minor in French and Public Health. She is currently a first-year Master of Public Health student at George Washington University concentrating in Health Promotion.
