Taryn Chapman, MS
Taryn Chapman is a science communications consultant specializing in infectious diseases and vaccines. She has a master’s degree in molecular medicine from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, concentrating in biochemistry, microbiology, and immunology. Taryn focused on human herpesviruses, eastern equine encephalitis, dengue fever, influenza, and HIV during her graduate studies. Following graduation, she took an immunology position at a chemical and biomedical engineering lab exploring new vaccine technology and DNA vaccines.
After the birth of the first of two children, Taryn went into vaccine advocacy as a writer, public speaker, and content creator. She built a website, The Vaccine Mom, which led to opportunities to appear on television, in podcasts, and speak in educational settings. Taryn currently works for several large vaccine organizations, journals/news sources, and holds contracts with healthcare organizations worldwide.
