Consultant - Science & Education
Taryn Chapman, MS
Taryn Chapman is a science communications consultant specializing in infectious diseases and vaccines. She holds a master’s degree in molecular medicine from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, with a concentration in biochemistry, microbiology, and immunology. Her graduate research spanned human herpesviruses, eastern equine encephalitis, dengue fever, influenza, and HIV, giving her a strong scientific foundation that continues to inform her work today.
After graduate school, Taryn joined an immunology team at a chemical and biomedical engineering lab, where she investigated emerging vaccine technologies, including DNA vaccines. When she became a mother, that scientific expertise took on new personal meaning. Motivated by a desire to help other parents navigate vaccine information with confidence, she transitioned into vaccine advocacy, becoming a writer, public speaker, and content creator.
Taryn founded The Vaccine Mom, a platform that grew into a trusted resource for families seeking accurate, accessible vaccine information. Her work has led to television appearances, podcast features, and speaking engagements in educational settings across the country. Today, she consults for leading vaccine and health organizations.
Her passion lies in making complex science relatable, meeting people where they are, and giving them the credible, clear information they need to make informed decisions for their families.
